~Teaching Assistants support the online education programs to create Super Smart Society.~
The Tokyo Tech Academy for SSS (Super Smart Society) held “SSS Online Education TA (Teaching Assistant) Information Session” on May 11, 2023, at Taki Plaza on Ookayama Campus.
In order to give the audience a better understanding of the TA position, the event included an introduction to The Tokyo Tech Academy for SSS activities and its online courses that are globally delivered on edX, gave a talk on the contemporary video situation, and a demonstration of Promotion video editing by a TA.
Specially Appointed Professor Akinori Nishihara, COO of the Tokyo Tech Academy for SSS, gave opening remarks, and Dr. Makoto Urakawa, Director of SSS Online Educational, shared the current situation of video production. Finally, Mr. Lu, a TA, introduced how the PV was produced, using a demo video.
Mr. Lu Jialiang (doctoral student) of School of Environment and Society, Mr. Mikitaro Kikuchi (master’s student) of School of Materials and Chemical Technology, and Ms. Chiaki Monobe (master’s student) of School of Environment and Society, who are working as online education TA for SSS, assisted in the event operation.
As the event was held during lunchtime at TAKI PLAZA, and students who gathered there also participated, some listening intently to the introduction of the Tokyo Tech Academy for SSS, some showing interest in video production that is all around them, such as Instagram and artists’ music videos, and others were eagerly watching the detailed video editing demo videos.
The Tokyo Tech Academy for Super Smart Society produces not only video materials for its courses that transcend the boundaries of Schools, but also video materials that are disseminated to the world. It will continue to support students who want to acquire image production skills and knowledge for their future careers.
